How to obtain a CamCORS supervisor account

CamCORS Supervisor Accounts (unlike accounts for College Users such as Directors of Studies or Tutors) are registered by the University Computing Services.

Senior Members of the University and Colleges, who have a CRSid

If you are a Senior Member of the University or a College (a Member of Regent House), and you have a CRSid (the first part of a mail address @cam, @hermes or @cus), there are two ways to register:

fill in the web form at http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/request/camcors.html
send an e-mail request to camcors-registration@ucs.cam.ac.uk

Access to CamCORS is now gained by means of a Raven password. If you do not have a Raven password you will need to apply for one. Please see http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/docs/faq/n5.html for instructions on applying for a Raven password.

Senior Members of the University and Colleges, without a CRSid

If you are a Senior Member of a College or University Department but do not have a CRSid, you will need to submit an application form, downloadable from http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/formr1.pdf. When you have completed the form it should then be sent for authorisation to your College or Department or Faculty (as for any other UCS account).

Other supervisors without a CRSid

If you are a supervisor who does not have a CRSid, then you need to submit an application form http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/formr1.pdf. When you have completed the form, applying for both a CamCORS account and a Hermes Account, it should then be sent to the College or Department which has asked you to supervise. It will then be stamped and signed by either the Senior Tutor of the College (or designated alternate) or Head of Department (or designated alternate), and submitted to the University Computing Service.

Graduate students

If you are a Graduate student then you may not register yourself for a CamCORS Supervisor Account but must be registered by a College (either your own College or the one by which you have been asked to supervise), or by a Department/Faculty. The College (or Director of Studies), Department or Faculty (the Course Director) will need to ask for you to be issued with a CamCORS Supervisor Account by sending an email, with your name and CRSid, to camcors-registration@ucs.cam.ac.uk
